We are saying it in an Elvis voice
Whoa, what a beach volleyball year it has been! Ups and downs, highs and lows! New teams, new heroes, new podium stepper-uppers, new winners…
But, one thing has remained constant through it all – our fans!
We have the best fans, no, really we do, and it’s high time we did our bit to give you guys the shout out you deserve.
This year’s Swatch Major Series and the FIVB World Championships presented by A1 was a huge success. Thousands of beach volleyball fans flocked to Fort Lauderdale, Poreč, Gstaad, Vienna and Hamburg to watch their stars in action and experience all the action first hand.
We’ve rounded up some pics which just help to illustrate why our fans are so awesome.
1. They are superheroes
Fighting crime and the forces of evil.
2. They wear the hats
Our fans dress up year after year showing both their creativity and their support.
3. They’re former pros
The connection to the sport cannot be severed.
4. They’re pint-sized
We’ll give you a moment to… swoon.
5. They’re vikings
Oh hey Thor. Just kidding ☺
6. They get behind their favorite athletes
Through thick and thin and selfies.
7. They come out at night
In a total non-scary way.
8. They know how to (Mexican) wave, block and… clap their hands
Power blockers in the house.
9. They’ve got swag
P E A C E.
10. They’re globetrotters
Our fans come from all around the world to celebrate beach volleyball, pack out our stadiums and create an unforgettable atmosphere that stays with anyone who attends a Swatch Major Series event.
None of it would’ve been possible without your continued support. So, for all those who waited in lines, dressed up, screamed for your athletes, participated in creating the stadium atmosphere, and travelled around the world just to attend one of our events – thank you! Your support helped make the 2017 beach volleyball season one for the history books.
