Swatch FIVB World Tour champions? Check.

Now all-conquering Brazilian heroes Alison Cerutti and Bruno Oscar Schmidt added more silverware to their growing collection by wowing the crowds on their country’s national tour at the Uberlandia Open last weekend.

Thousands of fans cheered the deadly duo onto victory in a thrilling final against Alvaro Filho and Saymon Santos on Sunday in what was Alison and Bruno’s first tournament since claiming the Swatch Beach Volleyball FIVB World Tour crown in Toronto in September.

The Olympic champs recovered from losing the first set by blitzing their opponents 21-8 in a stunning second set performance before going on to claim gold 15-12 in the decider.

Swatch World Tour Final silver medalists Pedro Solberg/Evandro missed out on bronze, losing to Ricardo Santos and Andre Stein in the battle for third place.

Larissa Franca and Talita Antunes tasted disappointment in Rio, finishing fourth, but they rediscovered their golden touch by winning on the national tour for the second successive tournament. The girls saw off Maia Elize and Rebecca Silva in straight sets.

Teenage sensational Eduarda ‘Duda’ Lisboa and Taina Lima pocketed a bronze medal, beating the new partnership of Agatha Bednarczuk and Carol Salgado in a three-set epic.

The Brazilian Tour sets sail for Curitiba between 17-20 November before pitching up in Sao Jose from 9-11 December. The Tour provides the stars with the perfect preparation for the opening FIVB World Tour event of the new season: our very own Fort Lauderdale Major in February!
