Happy #Halloween! 🎃 Play nicely and don't have nightmares 😱

Behold beach volleyball stars like you’ve never seen them before!

On Monday, ghosts and ghouls came out to play to celebrate Halloween, including some of our favorite players from the beach.

They took to social media to show off their costumes and give us a right fright the other night.

Take scary Casey Patterson and his skeleton family for example. It’s kinda cute until you look at Casey’s harrowing, haunting, staring eyes! Just don’t look into them for too long.

Meanwhile, over in Germany, Karla Borger was having fun at a party with some chilling fiends who, let’s face it, could be anybody. Does anybody recognize anyone other than Karla here? Answers on an email please.

Enough of the terrifying now and more of the cute.

Here’s three-time Olympic champ and Swatch Major Series hero Kerri Walsh Jennings lining up for a pre-Halloween snap with her family. Sure, Kerri’s carrying an axe but with her little of army of helpers we’re pretty sure they ended the night with more candy than they could ever imagined.

Of course it won’t be long before Halloween is a dim and distant nightmare, consigned to history for another year. These guys and girls will soon be heading back to the sand. Looking into our bubbling cauldron, we can already see them hitting the beach at the Fort Lauderdale Major.

It’s just three months away…now that is a scary thought!
