Alison Cerruti, the Brazilian beach volleyball superstar, will be representing Brazil in the upcoming Summer Olympics held in Rio at the picturesque Copacabana beach.

He is no stranger to winning and greatness, so we are taking this opportunity to cement his name into our Swatch Major Series Website of Fame by profiling him as this week’s Tuesday’s Talent.

Known as “Mamute” among friends (Mammoth in English), Alison Cerruti started off as a ball boy, moved on to training assistant and finally on to pro. Alison started playing beach volleyball in 2004, when he was just 19 years old, and two years on, in 2006 he went pro, winning the Vitoria Open with ex-teammate Harley Marques Silva. Alison also teamed up with recently retired beach volleyball legend, Emanuel Rego, for the Olympics in 2012.

Since then, Alison has left a trail of victories (most recently the Vitoria Open) making himself a household name in Brazil and in Beach Volleyball. At only 30 years old, and the Olympics coming up, Mr Cerruti has a life destined for the record books ahead of him.
