The FIVB World Tour Moves to its next Destination

The FIVB World Tour is off to a buzzing start, and after a long stint in Brazil with the: Maceio Open, the Rio Grand Slam and most recently - the Vitoria Open,  the World Tour takes a short break and then moves to delightful Doha, Qatar.

The men’s only tournament will commence 4 April and last until 8 April 2016. Earlier this year, the first FIVB tournament for the year 2016 took place in Kish Island (15 – 19 February) and saw Qatar’s very own Jefferson/Cherif top the podium. Perhaps the boys will have a home-turf advantage?

The tournament is yet another chance for eager beach volleyball athletes to gather up points towards their Olympic qualification as the Summer Olympics are fast approaching. The Olympics are scheduled to take place in August this year at the mesmerizing Copacabana beach, Rio de Janeiro.
