Maceió Open is one out of three upcoming FIVB World Tour events in Brazil

From the 23rd of February on, the most intense beach volleyball season for Brazil begins - introducing the year of Brazil with the Maceió Open. Amongst many Brazilian teams, some top teams of the Swatch Major Series have entered their participation for the tournament between the Lake Mundaú and the Atlantic Ocean. Dalhausser/Lucena, Binstock/Schachter, Ranghieri/Carambula, Larissa/Talita and Ludwig/Walkenhorst, just to name a few. March 8th marks an even bigger challenge. The Rio Grand Slam may add up more points to the Olympic ranking and, once more, gathers the beach volleyball elite of the world on the Brazilian coast. By the end of April, the beach volleyball players will return to Brazil’s Northeast for Fortaleza Open until it all cumulates at the Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro for the Olympic Summer Games in August.
