With the royal wedding just a day away, everyone who is everyone has switched to ‘celebrate love’ mode. We thought we’d jump on that bandwagon by celebrating love the only way we know how… beach volleyball style. We’ve collated a few photographs of our beach volleyball stars on their wedding days… feel free to ‘ooh’ and ‘aah’.

Just look at them! (swooning) Walkenhorst and long-time girlfriend, Maria Kleefisch, tied the knot at the majestic Timmendorfer Strand in October last year. Well, you know how the saying goes, if you love where you work (the beach), you should get married there.

Foi um fim de semana mágico, inesquecível... Agora, meus amigos, sou um homem casado. One of our favourite Brazilian studs, Alison Cerutti said ‘I do’ to his long-time girlfriend Tatiana Tristão in September last year. The cherry on top was teammate, Bruno Schmidt, playing the saxophone at their wedding! Now that was one to remember.

Our Czech girl Marketa Slukova married Coach Simon Nausch at a picturesque farm in Arkansas, USA, in September 2016.  “It is very romantic, located directly in the forest where you can see the Milky Way,” raved Simon. Sam Pedlow walked down the aisle with his long-time girlfriend Rebecca Hall-McGuire in October last year after 11 years together. “You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams” says Pedlow on his beautiful bride.

5. Sarah Pavan

 

3 years ago I married the man of my dreams. I am the luckiest girl in the world to be able to wake up next to, and experience this life with such a wonderful and devoted husband and friend. The past 3 years have been the best of my life, and I can't wait to see what the rest have in store for us as we take on this crazy life we lead. Happy Anniversary, my love!

Casey Patterson and wife Alexis are the couple that everyone wants to either be or be friends with. They are the the epitome of #RelationshipGoals and now, four kiddos later, they are the epitome of #FamilyGoals. Gotta love the Pattersons.
