Get ready for another rollercoaster ride of beach volleyball in 2017

It’s what you’ve all been waiting for! The 2017 Swatch Major Series promises to be bigger, brighter and better than ever before following the announcement of next season’s beach volleyball schedule.

- Fort Lauderdale Major 7-12 February 
- Poreč Major 27 June-2 July
- Gstaad Major 4-9 July
- Hamburg Major 8-13 August
- Swatch FIVB World Tour Finals 22-27 August

Following the massive success stories of the 2015 and 2016 seasons, the Swatch Major Series will continue to bring high-class sporting action to crowds of thousands at four five-star rated Swatch Major Series stops in 2017 before the season reaches its annual dramatic climax at the Swatch Beach Volleyball FIVB World Tour Finals in August.

Missing beach volleyball? Well don’t worry because the World Tour season will begin with a bang in February in Florida! The Swatch Major Series returns to the site of the 2015 Swatch World Tour Finals – Fort Lauderdale – for the first event of the new season. The Fort Lauderdale Major will take place between 7-12 February and will give beach fans the very first chance to see how the teams are shaping up for another big year on the sand.

Two familiar and hugely popular stops are next on the Swatch Major Series calendar. Between 27 June and 2 July the tour hot-foots it to the stunning Croatian resort of Poreč for some serious fun in the sun on the Adriatic coast. For the past two seasons, this sun-drenched haven has been a magnet for beach fans – last year the queues outside the venue told their own story, so don’t miss out in 2017!

Two days after the end of the tournament in Poreč, the stars and fans make the beautiful winding road up into the breathtaking Alps in Switzerland for the Gstaad Major for the third time. A truly unique experience, the Gstaad Major merges the best of the beach with an unbelievable alpine setting. It has to be seen to be believed.

If that wasn’t enough, returning for a second year, the Swatch Major Series heads to Hamburg again! Last year’s smart Major Hamburg was witnessed by record crowds and between 8-13 August the Rothenbaum Stadium will once more be packed to the rafters as the fans enjoy the best beach volleyball the world has to offer. This season’s tournament takes place just days after the 2017 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships in Vienna – giving the stars an instant opportunity for revenge!

And finally, the cherry on the top of a wonderful season will be the Swatch Beach Volleyball World Tour Finals which are scheduled to take place between 22-27 August. At a top secret location, which will be revealed later in 2017, only the world’s very best will get the chance to compete for the ultimate prize in beach volleyball. In 2016, the Swatch FIVB World Tour Finals were held in the amazing Canadian city of Toronto. Where will the Finals be held in 2017? Stay tuned to find out!
